Slacking

I just realized that it has been 2 weeks since I last posted anything. Sorry to the two people who read this blog!! Haha! Not too much has happened in the past couple weeks. Let's see...Faith started gymnastics again and LOVES it, and the right side of Dustin's face is currently completely paralyzed :o( as most of you probably already know. I took him to the ER on Sunday because we were seriously worried that he was having a stroke. He was diagnosed with a condition called Bell's Palsy, which still really sucks and is super inconvenient and frustrating for him, but at least it was nothing life threatening! It will most likely go away on it's own within a couple weeks to a few months, just depends on how long it takes the nerves to repair themselves. We have no idea what caused it, but I am completely confident that he will make a full recovery within a few weeks.

Faith and I have been having fun taking random pictures with our good friends, Nina, Lydia and Lucy. I have decided that my next big purchase (and something that has been on my wishlist forever) will be a nice camera (well, one that is better than my $100 Sony I am using right now that takes subpar pics). I will really need a better camera because I plan to take a lot more pics when the new one arrives! I probably won't splurge completely and buy a $1000 camera, but I have a couple in mind that I want already. So speaking of pics, here are some of the fun ones that we took a couple of weeks ago at the state park that is right next to our house.

Did we find out the gender??

Nope...and we aren't going to! Hehehe. The ultrasound we had today was great! The doctor said that the heart and the brain looked great and that the baby was 10 oz. which is right where it should be for 19 weeks. That is always such a relief to hear and I am sure that it will keep me at peace for the next week or so, but I swear I turn into a hypochondriac when I am pregnant and get paranoid over every little thing. Paranoia comes with the territory, I guess.
Faith went with us and sat on Dustin's lap and was so cute and hilarious. She was talking to the Baby saying, "Hi Baby! I am your big sister. You can come out now." The doctor said, "Nooo, not yet." She got excited to see the feet and got really excited when the baby started sucking their thumb. She pushed out her belly as far as she could and said that she was pretending that there was a baby inside her tummy, and then told Dustin that he had a big belly. I was laughing and couldn't stop and I think the tech was a little irritated because the laughing was making my stomach move while she was trying to look at the baby.

Is Christmas Over Already?

Wow! It seems like you are waiting and preparing for 2 months and then it's all over in a flash. We did have a WONDERFUL Christmas this year! We got way more than expected (or probably deserved, haha!), but best of all we got to spend it with family sans DRAMA! I know, amazing, right? Faith was ridiculously SPOILED by all and has had tons of fun these past few days playing with all of her new toys. Dustin and I went and bought a Wii a few days ago with gift cards we received (yes, we are big kids), but have yet to set it up - I guess he is no hurry for me to kick his booty!
We spent Christmas week up in FREEZING Utah, while they were having the worst snowstorm of the year (lucky us), and stayed with Grandma Maggie and Poppa Rich (Dustin's mom and her husband), and were also lucky enough to have my entire family together in Utah so we got to spend it with both families this year.
Faith had a BLAST playing with her cousins and getting SPOILED by her grandparents and she was more into Christmas this year which makes it sooo much more fun and exciting for Dustin and I. On Christmas Eve, we made cookies for Santa and left them out with a glass of milk and some carrots for the reindeer; Faith started putting the carrots on the plate with the cookies and when I told her that was enough carrots she said, "No, we need more. Santa has LOTS of reindeer!"
This has nothing to do with Christmas, but I had to write about it anyway because it happened while we were there: We were at Maggie's house and Faith reached around to her bum really quick and Maggie asked if she was okay and Faith said, "Yeah, I just have a WEDGIE...I get wedgies sometimes...and I just hafta pull 'em out." Leave it to a 3 year old to tell it how it is :o)

I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday, as we did, and a very Happy New Year!!
