TA-DA!

Faith and Grandpa Dave were sitting at the kitchen table and Faith thought she would show Grandpa her "Magic Trick." The "magic" was to take a bite of food and then an immediate drink of water then show Grandpa her empty mouth- "Ta-da!" In the process of repeating this magic trick over and over, her cup of water was filling up with disgusting backwash. I told Faith how gross it was and not to do it anymore. Her response to me...
"If you don't like it, you can leave."

Grandpa was laughing so hard at the little smart remark that he couldn't lift his head. I had to leave the room to gain my composure before trying to tell her that was not nice and it's not okay to talk to mommy like that because I didn't think that she would take me to seriously if I tried to reprimand her while laughing. Seriously...where did she get that?

WAITING...WONDERING...WORRYING

Now that I have officially reached full-term (37 weeks), we just get to play the waiting, wondering and worrying game (NOT my idea of a fun game). Is it going to happen today? Tomorrow? Two weeks from now? Will my water break right at the beginning of labor like it did last time or will I have to rely on timing contractions to know when to go to the hospital? Will I end up having to be induced? Will my labor really be about 50% shorter than it was last time like "They" say the 2nd time should be? (That would make it less than 4 hours which means I better get to the hospital FAST!) Is the baby in the right position? How big is it? Is it a boy or a girl? What are we going to name him/her? Why doesn't my OB give routine 3rd trimester ultrasounds? Will I get to have a natural birth like I did with Faith? Can I get through this one without an epidural? Do I even want to try? What are we going to do with Faith if I go into labor in the middle of the night or when I can't get a hold of anyone to watch her?

As you can tell, my mind is FULL of questions and worry. I don't even think that I worried this much the first time...of course I didn't have another child to worry about, I had an ultrasound almost every month so I got to "peek" in on Faith regularly and we knew she was a girl and that her name would be Faith from very early on (I know, I know...it was MY choice not to find out).

Don't get me wrong, I am SUPER EXCITED beyond words to get to see and hold and cuddle and kiss this little kicking machine, but the anxiety, dread not knowing what is going to happen, and exhaustion have temporarily taken over... I just have to remember to keep my eye on the prize :o)

Dang it sucks that I can't take Xanax while prego ;o)

PICTURE TIME

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to be behind the camera and take pictures, but the other side of the camera is NOT my forte or favorite place to be, and that is exactly where I ended up most of the time this past weekend for our family/maternity photo shoot. It especially isn't fun to have my pic taken when I am trying to direct Dustin on what to do with the camera, how to take the picture, to do it over ten times, etc. and he is getting irritated with me and my pickiness. We got a few good shots and then a few more when I invited my friend, Jenifer, over to take some shots of us as well with my camera (Yes, we are too cheap/poor to pay hundreds of dollars for professional photos right now, so these will have to suffice). I also love to use Adobe Photoshop to play around with the pics and edit them. So for your viewing pleasure, here are some of the pics that we ended with:
